Flags at Ottawa City Hall have been lowered to half-mast until sunset on Friday, January 10, to honour the eight Ottawa residents who lost their lives in the Ukraine International Airlines crash that went down shortly after take-off near Tehran, Iran on January 8.
On Saturday, January 11, flags at all City of Ottawa sites will be flown at half-mast from sunrise to sunset, to honour the lives lost and those affected by the tragic OC Transpo bus collision at Westboro Station, one year ago. Residents wishing to personally pay their respects may do so at the informal memorial site at the lower level of Westboro Station as many have done throughout the past year.
