The City of Ottawa would like to advise motorists that the following planned road work projects are scheduled to begin next week and will impact mobility around town:

  • Prince of Wales Drive – This weekend the nightly closure of the northbound lanes of Prince of Wales Drive between Strandherd Drive and Fallowfield Road will continue overnight on Friday, June 23 until Saturday, June 24 at 5 a.m.
  • Crestway Drive– The intersection of Crestway Drive at Prince of Wales will be closed from Sunday, June 25 until the following Sunday due to roadway reconstruction. For the duration of the closure, traffic will be able to access the community through Waterbridge Drive.
  • St. Joseph Boulevard– A delay pushed the start of the water main repairs on St. Joseph Boulevard, between St. Pierre Street and Place d’Orléans, but the work has now begun and will impact St. Joseph Boulevard until July 31. Both westbound lanes will be closed, but traffic will be maintained on the eastbound lanes; one lane in each direction.
  • Maisonneuve Street– Due to the same work impacting St. Joseph Boulevard, Maisonneuve Street will be closed, with no exit to St. Joseph Boulevard on June 27. Signed detours will be in place.

A number of special events happening this weekend will also affect travel plans around town. Some of these events include:

A full list of traffic impacts for these and other events can be found on the City’s traffic report and on the City’s website.
