The following planned road work and associated traffic impacts are scheduled to begin:
- Prince of Wales Drive– On Monday, June 5, resurfacing work on a section of Prince of Wales Drive, between Strandherd Drive and Hunt Club Road, will result in lane reductions in both directions. Waterbridge Road at Prince of Wales Drive is also affected by this project and will be closed to traffic until mid-June.
- St. Joseph Boulevard– On June 5 and June 6, St. Joseph Boulevard will be reduced to one lane in each direction between St. Pierre Street and Place d’Orléans Drive, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.On June 8 and 9, the westbound curb lane of St. Joseph Boulevard will be closed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with road closures at Gabriel, Maisonneuve and St. Pierre streets. These reductions are required due to watermain repair work that is expected to be complete by October 31, 2017.
- St. Patrick Street– St. Patrick Street, from King Edward Avenue to Murray Street, will be closed to motorists and cyclists on Sunday, June 4, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. due to sewer rehabilitation work. Signed detours will be in place.
- Colonel By Drive– Beginning Thursday, June 8 at 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. on Friday, June 9, Colonel By Drive will be closed between Clegg and Leonard Avenue for the removal of traffic control barriers in this section of road.
This weekend, traffic impacts will occur as a result of upcoming special events:
- The area around the Canada Aviation and Space Museum will be impacted by a number of events this weekend. The Telus Motorcycle Ride for Dad starts at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 3 at the museum; a full list of road closures can be found on the event’s webpage and the City’s traffic report. The Play On! Tournament is taking place Saturday, June 3 and Sunday, June 4 at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum and the Rockcliffe Flying Club. No roads will be closed for this event but increased traffic is expected. The National Memorial Ride takes place on Sunday, June 4 and will travel along Sir George-Étienne Cartier Parkway and past the Canada Aviation and Space Museum. A list of affected roads can be found on the traffic report.
- The Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway, Colonel By Drive and the Sir George-Étienne Cartier Parkway will be closed to motorists on Sunday, June 4, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. as part of NOKIA Sunday Bike Days.
