Ottawa– Ongoing road rehabilitation work on Island Park Drive, between Carling Avenue and Byron Avenue, will continue for at least one week. As a result of the work, overnight lane closures on weekdays will remain in effect in the active work areas.

Motorists and cyclists are also advised that starting tomorrow (Wednesday) southbound traffic will be detoured onto Kirkwood Avenue, allowing northbound traffic only on Island Park Driveduring daytime off-peak hours to allow for paving operations.

For everyone’s safety, motorists are asked to reduce speed, watch for workers, other traffic, and local residents turning into or out of driveways, and to take extra care to share the road. Access for pedestrians will be maintained, and cyclists are encouraged to use nearby multi-use pathways.
