Ottawa– Island Park Drive from Carling Avenue to Byron Avenue will undergo road rehabilitation, including paving and concrete repairs, starting on Monday, August 22. The work will require lane closures in the active work areas during off-peak hours on weekdays, from Monday until September 19.
For everyone’s safety, motorists are asked to reduce speed, watch for workers, other traffic, and local residents turning into or out of driveways, and to take extra care to share the road. Access for pedestrians will be maintained, and cyclists are encouraged to use nearby multi-use pathways.
As part of this work, the City will coordinate the temporary closure of the westbound off-ramp from Highway 417 to Island Park with the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario to allow for paving work.
