Ottawa– Starting Monday, March 10, traffic on Rideau Street will be reduced to one lane in each direction where it intersects with Wurtemburg Street just west of Cummings Bridge. Lane reductions will be in effect during the day for up to eight weeks. The lane reductions are necessary to complete construction related road work on the south side of Rideau Street.
There will be no detours as a result of this work. The project will maintain a minimum of one pedestrian crossing across Rideau Street at Wurtemburg Street at all times. Businesses remain open as usual.
OC Transpo buses will operate through this intersection as scheduled. Commuters are reminded to exercise caution around work areas. For more information, visit ottawa.ca.
The Rideau Street Renewal is an Ottawa on the Move project. Ottawa on the Move is about keeping our community and economy moving forward through strategic investments in a number of transportation, water, and sewer projects to build a better city and create jobs.
